Auto Mechanic – Now Hiring

Location: Hilo, HI (30 Kukila Street)

Compensation: $18–$25/hr (based on experience)

Hours: Full-time, 40 hrs/week (Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts)

Benefits: On-the-job training, 401(k), health insurance

Job Description

We seek a skilled and motivated Auto Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles, ensuring safety and reliability for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform automotive diagnostics and interpret system schematics
  • Conduct mechanical repairs, including brake service, engine and transmission work
  • Support auto body repair tasks as needed
  • Maintain workshop cleanliness and follow safety protocols
  • Collaborate with fellow technicians for timely, quality work
  • Stay current with evolving automotive technologies and repair techniques

Ideal Candidate:

  • Minimum 1 year of automotive repair experience (preferred diagnostics ability)
  • Mechanical aptitude with ability to read schematics
  • Valid driver’s license (ASE Certification is a plus)
  • Detail-oriented, dependable, team player
  • Willing to work in-person in Hilo, relocating if needed
